Bug Reports: If you think you have found a bug within WindNinja, we would appreciate hearing from you. Please check the Known Bugs below and the FAQs page to make sure that this problem has not already been resolved. Then, send a copy of any screenshots and a detailed error message describing the problem and what you were doing when the problem arose to the WindNinja Team. This will help us to recreate the problem and then resolve the issue.

| WindNinja doesn't run on some computers (Application Configuration is Incorrect). |
| Description |
There is currently a known bug in WindNinja that causes it to not run on some computers. This bug shows up after you successfully install WindNinja and then try to start the program. A window will pop up saying: This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem. |
| Status |
This bug will be fixed in a new version that should be released in mid-December 2011.

| Work Around |
The work-around for this problem is fairly simple. Download and install the Microsoft Visual Studio C++ Redistributable Package.
After you have installed this package, WindNinja should work. It is not necessary to reinstall WindNinja; your original install should now work. If later, you want to remove the Microsoft Visual Studio C++ Redistributable Package, you can do so through the Add/Remove Programs functionality typically found in the Control Panel.
