FARSITE version 4.1.054 is released

April 30, 2007: FARSITE version 4.1.054 is released. This update fixes several bugs:

  • The moisture model was not calculating the 1000-hr fuel moistures correctly,
  • A minor computational error in the post-frontal combustion model,
  • ActiveX controls were removed from the Help System to avoid problems with Windows security updates.

FARSITE version 4.1.052 is released

August 4, 2006: FARSITE version 4.1.052 is released. This update fixes several bugs:

  • FARSITE occasionally crashed when using the Scott & Burgan fuel models.
  • Generating a landscape sometimes created a corrupt LCP file.
  • Shapefiles were created with an incorrect time stamp.

A new Help System documents the Scott & Reinhardt crown fire calculation method.
