Development of the BehavePlus fire modeling system and supporting material is possible due to the support of:
The BehavePlus program, the Fire Characteristics Chart program, and some of the supporting materials were developed through contracts with Systems for Environmental Management (SEM).
The following individuals have worked on components of the BehavePlus project:
- Patricia L. Andrews, U.S. Forest Service, is the program manager. Responsibilities include system design (BehavePlus and Fire Characteristics Chart), publications, and training.
- Faith Ann Heinsch, U.S. Forest Service, is responsible for Fire Characteristics Chart system design, publishing information about BehavePlus on FireModels.org, and developing publications and training material for both BehavePlus and the Fire Characteristics Chart.
- Collin Bevins, SEM, is the BehavePlus program developer.
- Luke Schelvan, SEM, is the Fire Characteristics Chart program developer.
- Deb Tirmenstein, SEM, conducts program testing and reviews and edits supporting documents.
- Erin Noonan-Wright, U.S. Forest Service, developed training material as an SEM contractor.
- Matt Jolly, U.S. Forest Service, developed training material.
- Bobbie Bartlett, U.S. Forest Service (retired), developed training material as an SEM contractor.
- Joe Scott, Pyrologix and SEM, developed online help and training material.
- Rick Stratton, U.S. Forest Service, developed training material as an SEM contractor.
- Rob Seli, U.S. Forest Service, developed supporting material including the User’s Guide and training material.
